This location is one of those places I saw popping up on Instagram a bunch of times, knowing I “had” to shoot there. It’s not a background I would usually choose when I go out to shoot, but it being so “different” made so much more interesting and also a challenge. It’s so photogenic in such a different way! Ralph really wanted to see the building, for different reasons obviously, so we headed out there on one drizzly afternoon in Los Angeles. I discovered there’s not too much to do in the city when it’s raining, so we did all the things we didn’t before like visiting place as mentioned above or the LACMA. Also fun of course!
The outfit is quite 70s, mixed with some 90s details like the big shoulders in my fave trench. The skirt I found at my local vintage shop in Amsterdam called Episode, one I love for the great choice they usually have – although I think their personnel could use some manners. That aside, this suede skirt was awesome and cheap, winning! I love bumping into pieces like that! Although I’m not allowing myself to buy that much more, since I’m on a budget the next two months. No sales (ok maybe a little), not even when I think I need it (because I don’t). On Monday eve I booked two return flights back to… New York! I’m so, so excited, but spending a month in the Big Apple will mean ca-ching. A few more weeks to go though, and I have some different content coming up to fill the gap: a special project of Friday and a BIG announcement on Monday. Stay tuned.
