Every little corner of New York looks different, and that’s exactly one of the reasons I love this city. Something new to discover every day! And now we’ve spent a decent amount of time around here we know what our fave spots to eat, shop and shoot are. While our fave restaurants and stores are in the Soho and the Nolita area, we kinda love shooting on the west side. The light is softer because the sun goes down on that side of the city, so shooting at sundown is simply bliss when we’re out there. This shoot was no exception!

Initially we thought of the High Line to shoot this look, but we sorta forgot about it being a day off for most New Yorkers after Thanksgiving plus the very mild weather made it nearly impossible to get a good shot. So we wandered around a little, trying to enjoy the sunset, when we bumped into this wall aka the perfect shooting location. It’s different, but I love it.

My look is one that might look very random, and I guess it is, but somehow it does work. The temperatures allowed me to wear a flowy skirt – if combined with a warm coat and cozy boots that is. These UGG boots are the newest addition to the classic line, a slimmer version of the well known model I’ve worn here (link naar vorige post) before. It’s more “on trend”, and in recent days I’ve not only seen them around town on the huge ads, I’ve also seen them popping up in Vogue and on Kendall Jenner. So I guess they have the fashion world’s seal of approval! And they should, so comfortable and easy to combine. Plus they keep my feet very warm, something that might come in super handy while battling the cold out here in the coming few months. Winning combination!
