Although it doesn’t really seems like it’s actually starting temperature wise in New York, coat season is here. And although I’m obsessed with summer, this is one of the things I do look forward to in Fall. Because coat season means breaking in those awesome pieces hanging in my closet, layering up again. Being from Amsterdam I need to like coats too, because we’re in need of them 90% of the year. One of my favorite styles, whether it’s spring or winter, is the trench. So versatile! When it’s really cold I take out my wool version, and right now, while I still can, I’m going for cotton or silk. My height allows me to wear the oversized ones as well, which is great, because I love “living” in them. A coat can truly upgrade your look without having to put too much effort into styling. Needless to say I’m obsessed with the one above. It’s. So. Good. Beyond even. And for multiple reasons: the sturdy cotton fabric, oversized fit, eye-catching striped detail, the on-trend army color. Investing in a great piece like this is totally worth it for me, I can dress it down and up, can work it in so many outfits of mine. And mind you, a coat you’ll have to sport every day – it’s ok to repeat wearing them.

Fashion week is all about supporting your favorite brands, not only by attending the shows, but also by wearing their clothing throughout the week. is one of my go-to websites when I’m preparing my looks. It’s just really great to have so many options within their carefully curated collections, selling all of my fave brands. Like . And military coats are basically always on trend, so no excuses for this one. Insert smiley with heart eyes. Done.
