HOW I’M SPENDING MY SUNDAY

So I think it’s time to try out a new thing here on Raspberry & Rouge. It’s been a long time coming, and I finally decided to dive in: beauty posts. I must admit that I don’t know a lot about the subject, I usually use whatever is available to me (that’s laziness, I’m aware). But that needs to change! I’m 27 now and it’s time to start taking care of my skin properly. So I’m willing to step out of my comfort zone and research the market a little bit. And by research I mean test out. And I’d love to take you with me on that new adventure. I wouldn’t be me if I wasn’t willing to learn, and there’s no time like the present. Every now and then I’ll share my experiences with you here, hoping I can learn from you and perhaps you even from me.

This post is dedicated to just that, testing out a new product on my Sunday afternoon off. The perfect time of the week to do this, especially when it’s raining cats and dogs outside! Music on, dim the lights and let’s start. We’re starting with the basis, before applying anything to my face, there’s the face mask. Today I’m testing Teaface, “indulgence in a jar”, a face mask existing of rosehip oil, patchouli, jojoba oil, ylang ylang and cold pressed coconut oil. So what you do is clean your skin with a cleanser of choice, gently scrub a teaspoon full of the Teaface product on your face in a circular motion (stay clear of eyes and surrounding areas), leave the scrub to soak on you face for 10 minutes before gently wiping it off with a dam cloth. Done! Easy peasy, even I can do it.

So what did I think? I never really use face masks or scrubs, but have to admit that my skin felt super soft and hydrated after using this scrub. Will I do it again? For sure, but probably not on a daily basis. But it definitely feels good, so I’m scheduling it in for the weekends! I know it’s important to take good care of your skin and choose the products you use wisely. I’m all for natural products, straight from the earth, back to us. Teaface is just that, a great first experience in the process of enhancing my skin. Let the pamper sessions start! And another plus: it’s so affordable. Get your product here!

PS. Thanks to the Andaz hotel in Amsterdam for providing us with the most beautiful hotel room as the perfect backdrop for this shoot!
