Summertime! I love escaping the freezing New York winters to squeeze in some sunshine and warmer temperatures. It does wonders for my skin, and not to mention my mood. I’ve never really been a snow person, I mean, I like it for a day, but gimme the warmth! The only downside about warmer weather and a lot of sunshine, if I have to name one, is that it’s not the best for your hair. It damages the hair, for one, and next to that the humidity makes you lose all the volume you might have.
“Gimme the warmth!”
And for a gal lacking in the latter, it’s kind of key to bring the right products. When I’m on vacation I tend not to bring too many styling products, there’s no use really. A dip in the pool and all is gone. But what I do bring is a good shampoo. My hair needs to be fed, it needs to be moisturized and I need to up the volume. My hair can use a little help that’s for sure.
To South Africa I brought the Pantene Sheer Volume shampoo and the new Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots. Pantene is on a mission to give women the joyful feeling of more great hair days. The Intense Rescue Shots have all the right nutrients to rescue your hair and ensure just that, much needed nutrients between beach sessions. You can use it at home or when traveling, the small size allows you to even bring it in your hand luggage! It’s ideal for color treated and heat styled hair of all types. On a weekly basis I use a curling iron and blow dryer – plus I have high-lights.
No matter how much you use heat protection and moisturizing products, your hair will get damaged. You can go to the salon to get a treatment, of course, but the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots are developed for those in-between moments, when your hair needs a little extra help. Once a week, after you shampoo, dispense the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots single-dose tube into your hand and massage the contents for 30 seconds into hair from root to tip. Be sure to target areas that see the most damage! Rinse thoroughly for 30 seconds. Done!
You can get them now at Target.com. Please do try at home!
