When I was younger I was quite sure there was one specific thing I’d never wear: leopard. Because, tacky?! Now, getting older sounds so official but still, I know better. Animal printed clothing doesn’t have to look cheap or out of style at all. It’s very much a print I love having in my wardrobe. This leopard print dress is no exception to that rule. It’s long and not revealing enough to compensate for the print I guess. It’s all about the way you style it! So here are some of my tips to style animal prints the chic way:

  1. Dress it down: it could be denim or a pair of sneakers (maybe both), but animal prints need some sort of a contrast in order to look their best.
  2. Mixing prints it also a good one to take some attention of your animal printed piece. Add stripes or dots, and your entire look will elevate.
  3. Shoes can do a lot for any outfit. Wearing animal print would equal wearing sneakers or statement bots for me. I don’t think I would add a sexy heel, because it can come off as too much pretty fast.

It’s a very personal thing I guess. My mom wouldn’t really wear leopard print items, but she would sport a zebra printed top. It’s all about taste and personal style and that’s what makes it fun. Layering is everything when it comes to this, plus: take a chance every once in a while. Life and fashion are too much fun not too!
