MY EXPERIENCE IN MARRAKECH

A little while ago I was given the opportunity to visit Marrakech on a business trip. It’s one of those experiences that are so hard to capture in words and photos – but I’m gonna try anyway. I can say that I’ve completely fallen in love and could definitely be considered as one of those #goals trips. I’ve been working with Chloe fragrances for a little while now, and all the experiences have been unforgettable so far. This year we headed to Marrakech, a place that I’ve never been to before. It’s quite special when I get the opportunity to travel to an unknown place because even though I travel a lot, most of the time it’s to the same destinations. I’m not complaining of course, it’s just that its always so exciting to learn abut different cultures and explore new countries.

We stayed at a hotel just outside the city and spent most of our time by the countryside. Since we had an overnight flight, the first day was quite relaxing. Everyone was arriving at different times of the day so the first few hours we were able to just focus on settling in. Ralph and I did so with a lovely cup of traditional Moroccan mint tea (which is so yummy btw). The next day the official program only started in the afternoon, so the morning was spent working and lounging by the pool. First stop after lunch: the desert! I love the desert. I don’t really know what it is that attracts me to these fields of sand so much. Arriving at camp Chloe Nomade was incredible as the scenery was breathtaking with a widespread view of the Atlas mountains in the backdrop. The afternoon consisted of different “sessions” which included meditation, storytelling and wild horses.

Just before we were supposed to have dinner in one of the tents, an unexpected storm came rolling in and we were forced to head back to the hotel. The next day we drove down to the mountains, however it was unfortunately still pouring rain. Arriving at the most stunning villa, we spent the afternoon learning more about how the fragrance was made and what is was inspired by. I find outings like these to be extremely inspiring. The trip truly elevated my Chloe Nomade experience and enhanced my association with the brand. It’s such a great way to convey the storyline behind a product! We ended the night in the old Medina and had dinner at a stunning Riad in Marrakech with our little crew. The next day we were treated to a hot air balloon ride right around sunrise which was such a breathtaking experience. So again, team Chloe, thank you. So proud to be part of the #chloegirls gang!
