This place has been on my New York to-go list for a long time. But somehow Ralph and I never got around to actually shooting in this (at the time, early March) deserted theme park. It has a super retro feel, it’s pretty amazing! I sort of want to go now it’s open too, just to experience it once. It’s about an hour away from the city by subway, and super easy to reach. There’s a train going straight from Manhattan to the Coney Island beach. I wonder if New Yorkers actually go there to sunbathe? I have the feeling most will hop on the train (or car) to the Hamptons instead. I still need to go there too, but I guess there’s only so much time to do it all. Perhaps when I’m back this summer – secretly already planning this getaway. I’m writing this to you guys while I’m actually back in the city for some meetings and… My one year anniversary! Can’t believe it’s been a year already since Ralph and I got married. Such a special day! And we figured, what better place to celebrate our big day than being in the city again? Our second home? We don’t have a clue what we’re gonna do, or even sleep just yet – but that’s all part of the fun. Yay for spontaneity!
