Back to the grind! Aka back to New York City. I took a little break to go visit friends and family back at home. I thought it would be a super relaxing week, but it turned out to be a jam packed few days yet all good. We always want to see as many people as possible, but never seem to be able to really hang out with everyone. But there’s always next time right? That “next time” will definitely be in the new year, although we’re making a little stopover in Amsterdam on our way to our Christmas holiday destination (it’s gonna feel so weird being at the airport, but not leaving the terminal). Exciting things ahead.
“Exciting things ahead.”
What are those things, you might think? Well, without spilling too many beans, things are gonna change around here. The new website lay-out is just the first step into the next chapter. I have been doing this for many years, and felt a bit stuck lately to be completely transparent. And that has mostly to do with myself. So I have decided to turn things around, change what I’m not happy about and move into a slightly new direction.
My plans will roll out over the course of the next few months, and I’m excited to share all of that with you. But first things first, the last few weeks of the year. Holiday time before it’s actually holiday time if you get what I mean. The city is slowly becoming more and more festive and it’s making me very excited. Not just because that means I can start lighting my candles at 4PM, or because that Christmas tree will come into our place sooner rather than later.
It’s the end of the old and start of something new. I’m never sad when the year is coming to a close, as I’m usually very excited about the prospect of a new one, with new opportunities every single day. I know I don’t have to wait till January 1st to do what I want to be doing, or make that change in my life. I know I can start over or switch things up every day of the year, but there’s something about that 01/01 date, don’t you think?
