I don’t even know where to start. I’m kind of embarrassed about my absence on the blog, it’s been almost 2 months since I posted last on here. So much has happened in-between, which might not be an excuse but it kinda is. So maybe I’ll just start from the beginning: moving to New York. As you all know it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. Basically since I was 12 years old, I have always dreamed of living in New York one day. If that was actually gonna happen, was doubtful. But I guess when you’re persistent and dream big, a lot is possible. If it was up to me, we would have moved years ago. Downside is that when it comes to moving countries, especially when you move oversees, you usually can’t just pack up your things and go. Most important reason for me was obviously Ralph, since he is my number one priority in life it needed to make sense for the both of us. He has been working so hard on his solo project, and he’s so ready to slay it in 2018 – but it was a tough road getting there. That’s a story for another time, but it is part of the whole decision process obviously. Next to that, you run into more practical issues like the visa. Getting that done took quite some time, and although I’ve had mine for over a year, Ralph didn’t have one until recently. If you’re interested in how this work, how you can get your visa for the States, I’m more than happy to dive into that later on as well! Then there’s the apartment in Amsterdam: what do we do with that? Keep it? Cancel everything in Amsterdam and focus on New York 100% or keep our options open? What do we do when we get to New York? Temporary housing? Staying with friends? All of this took time, there was so much for us to sort out before getting on that plane in October, and after we landed, again so much happened and is still happening. I really want to dive into all of that deeply, and explain to you step by step what we’ve done, what we’re working on and what the current status is. Let’s just say: I was preoccupied but have been posting loads on Instagram, so you can always follow my daily journey out there! I can say: I’m back, I have SO many photos to share here, so many stories. So much is gonna change out here in this space, but that’s all for the new year. I will be laying low until January with a few updates in-between, some amazing content I’m dying to share with all of you.
